Raw Chocolate Almond Butter Freezer Fudge!

I remember when I was 13 years old, going to choir practice in my first few weeks of attending a new private Catholic (gulp!) school.  I heard the most beautiful voice ever from a girl who sat behind me.  I turned around and told her, “your voice is so beautiful!”  and she was so strong, steady, and comfortable in her own light, “Oh, thank you!”, she said, as she continued resonating in her own grace.  I loved music and gravitated towards voices that moved me.

That was in the 7th grade and on our last day of our senior year, we put on a show to say goodbye to the school.  I was planning to sing a song and was warming up in the locker room.  Faith said something to me that she probably never thought of again, but something that greatly impacted my life.  ”Aren’t you going to do something with your voice?  It’s a gift, aren’t you going to let people hear you?”  I said, “No”, and I truly felt I would leave my music self behind when I walked off campus that day for the last time.

MANY years later, after my decision to quit law school to pursue music, I remembered Faith’s words.  I had been out of touch with her throughout college, but as the Universe would have it, the week I quit school to pursue music, I got a postcard from Faith about her first CD!  It was called, “In Search of Faith”.  The title of the CD, the timing, her words, again, lit the path to, “YES”!

Today she is an Emmy award-winning singer/songwriter AND a NEW MOMMY!!!  Earlier this month, she gave birth to Baby Kai with her high school love and husband, Nolan.

So what does this all have to do with Raw Chocolate Almond Butter Freezer Fudge?  It’s Faith’s favorite and I just might make her some when we celebrate Easter together this weekend!

Faith…you gotta have it
