Where do lesbians go for fun?

Good ol’ fashioned wholesome craft fairs! OK, not all lesbians, we’re not all like that. But in this episode, we share some tips, thoughts, and reflections after having attended our first craft fair of the spring & summer season.

Craft Fair Tips for Attendees

  • The Earlier The Better - for parking, for best availability of the vendor’s wares, and for everybody’s attitudes

  • Wear Proven Comfortable Shoes

  • Bring Reusable Bags

  • Pack snacks and hydration unless part of the experience is the food

  • Go with an extrovert

  • Be OK ahead of time not having to see every single thing, if it’s a monstrous-sized craft fair

  • Gift-buying strategy: review your list of people to get gifts for, and then put it away and trust yourself to be reminded of people when you see certain items. You are smart enough to remind you, if you ask you to remind you.

  • Have a Budget

  • Also regarding budgets: have the mindset that you are NOT solely buying objects. You are also acquiring personal stories and personal connections. You are strengthening and bringing more resilience to the local community that is a support system for you.

  • Get business cards and put their info in an iPhone note to remind you of local artists that impressed you and that you want to keep in mind in the future.
